Shoppers have flocked to the opening of the next stage of the Karrinyup shopping centre.

Forty new shops opened to the public on Thursday morning, with queues out the door for makeup brand Sephora.

It is stage two of the $800 million redevelopment covering 109,000 square metres.

6PR reporter shopper Megan Birch said there were hundreds of people lining up this morning.

“There’s lines already out the door,” she told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“Sephora, the big one, which is the first store in WA, a huge global makeup brand, and I can see women half way down the shopping centre lining up to get in there.”
