Attack was the “definition of random” says Fisheries Minister
Beaches in Broome have reopened 24 hours after a man was fatally mauled by a shark.
The man was body boarding at Cable Beach yesterday morning when he was attacked.
Swimmers pulled the victim’s body to shore and performed CPR but he couldn’t be saved.
Reporter Michael Genovese is in Broome and says authorities are still searching for the shark.
Fisheries Minister Peter Tinley also joined Gareth Parker and says this attack seemed to be the “definition of random.”
