Legislation aimed at deterring illegal forms of trespass while protecting the welfare of animals will be introduced into State Parliament.

Minister for Agriculture and Food Alannah MacTiernan says the proposed legislation will see a new offence introduced “aggressive trespass” and increase penalties to up to two years in prison and a $24,000 fine.
