City of Perth urged to go ahead with ‘COVID-safe’ Skyworks

The City of Perth is being urged to consider how the Australia Day Skyworks might be able to go ahead in a COVID-safe way – rather than scrapping it.

The annual event is in doubt – to due concerns large gatherings might not be allowed by January – amid a potential second wave of virus infections.

Christmas and New Years events are also in doubt.

Federal WA Liberal MP Ben Morton told Gareth Parker on Mornings such events are more important than ever and it’s premature to be making such a decision.
