On Sunday the Premier announced some intrastate travel will be allowed between some regions from May 18, and an infectious diseases expert says it’s time.

Dr Clay Golledge says it is time to open up the WA regions with the exception of the Kimberley region at this time.

Dr Golledge also says it would be safe for AFL players to travel between States if they adopted a strict training regime.

“There is no need to relocate two footy sides to the Eastern States,” he told 6PR Breakfast.
