“We want people to know Perth is the place this test needs to be played”: WACA CEO

Next year India are coming to Australia for a four match test series but Optus Stadium might not make the cut.

Cricket Australia need to decide how four tests will be divided among the capital cities. Sydney and Melbourne are definite shoe-ins and Adelaide is looking likely… this leaves Perth and Brisbane to fight it out for the final spot.

WACA CEO Christina Matthews says that our world-class award-winning Optus Stadium should be an obvious choice.

“It’s reminding Cricket Australia all the time that there’s a top quality stadium here.

“The pitch has been rated one of the best pitches the players have seen in terms of bat and ball and we know the facilities are world class.

“We want people to know Perth is the place this test needs to be played.”
