West Coast coach Adam Simpson says Jack Darling is in the mix for a return to the AFL after booting five goals for East Perth in the WAFL. 

Darling has had a delayed start to the season with a foot complaint but finally made a long-awaited return to football for the Royals on Saturday. 

Simpson said they will weigh up whether he needs another week.
