“Malcolm Turnbull Has Always Been Keen on Q & A” : Tony Abbott

Oliver Peterson

Liberal Backbencher Tony Abbott is in WA this week as part of his role as Special Envoy on Indigenous Affairs. He spoke with Oliver Peterson on the first day of the hung parliament.

Mr Abbott made comment on what he has been seeing while travelling around to the remote schools. He has been impressed with use of phonics to teach children literacy skills.

“It is very very important that kids get a good grounding in basic literacy and numeracy.”

Also on the discussion table was the outcome of the Wentworth bi-election and what it means for the government. Of course Malcolm Turnbull’s name came up.
