The AFL could trial some rule changes and they’re looking at using some dead rubber games at the end of this year to test the proposed adjustments.

Fremantle forward Brandon Matera says some changes could work, but he likes the game as it is.

“It could work for the start, if they want to stop congestion, it could work. But then once it’s done, I’m sure it’ll just change back to the old way. The way the game is at the moment, it’s not real bad. I like it the way it is, we’ll just have to see what the AFL say,” Matera told 6PR Breakfast.
