For the first time in its 188-year history, retail giant David Jones has entered voluntary administration.

Speaking on 6PR Breakfast with Millsy and Karl, finance analyst Evan Lucas noted that the administration followed persistent delays in the company filing its financial results with ASIC.

Addressing the human impact, Lucas said: “There’s 6000 employees at David Jones, so they’re the ones that I feel for the most, they’re the ones that I want to see looked after.”
