Senior keeper Jenna Peddie spoke with 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett, sharing that the aging bear suffered from ongoing health issues related to the mistreatment he experienced prior to his rescue.

“We were seeing more and more age-related issues with his eyesight going, he was starting to have difficulties climbing, which for a sun bear – who’s the most arboreal bear species – means spending a lot of time high up in the trees”, Peddie said.
