A new permanent sculpture park is opening at the Perth Observatory, inviting artists to exhibit large-scale contemporary art.

Harry Pannekoek, curator of the Perth Observatory, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that the Perth Sky Sculpture Park will feature works inspired by nature, the landscape, and the cosmos.

“We’re running this on a shoestring. It’s really an artist-driven thing by artists and a very dedicated, wonderful volunteer group”, Pannekoek said.
