Perth TV and radio personality Gary Carvolth has died at the age of 85.

His distinguished 50-year career spanned Channel Seven’s Club Seventeen – where he won two Logies – before making a successful switch to radio, hosting 6PR’s sports coverage and teaming up with Jenny Seaton for their popular afternoon program in the 1990s.

Former 6PR presenter Seaton told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont about their time on air together.

“He was the bad cop, I was the good cop. I’d stop him: ‘Now, Gary, you can’t say that, just stop it’”, Seaton said.
