A new homeless encampment has emerged in a small area of scrub between the lanes of the Mitchell Freeway in the heart of Perth.

6PR’s Karl Langdon told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont about the challenging conditions at the site.

“It’s down near what I would call stagnant water, and there’s a lot of it in there at the moment because we’ve had a fair bit of rain”, Langdon said.

“Now, I don’t know whether they use that water, but I wouldn’t be using it.”
