The Perth Bears have revealed their inaugural playing jersey, featuring red hoops on a black background as a tribute to the North Sydney Bears, who left the competition in 1999.

6PR Any Given Sunday hosts Chrissy Morrissy and Dane Mepham are keen to see if any supporters have already got a Bears tattoo.

When asked, the club’s assistant coach Ben Gardiner said he hasn’t seen anyone ink the design yet.

“I don’t know, that’s a really good question. Normally that’s part of it, isn’t it? Normally the day that it happens someone gets the new Bears’ emblem tattooed on,” he said.
