Education Minister praises teachers, but remains non-committal on 15% pay hike
A teacher for 27 years, Education Minister Sabine Winton remains proud of her roots and continues to hold a genuine passion for education.

While falling short of committing to the teachers’ requested 15 per cent pay rise over two years, Winton told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that the Labor government values teachers.
“We need more teachers, and we need teachers to stay and so the EBA process will be an important part of recognising that”, she said.
