A 20-year-old electrical engineering student has created the MedClock, a smart device designed to assist older Australians and their families.

Speaking to Chrissy Morrissy on 6PR Weekends, Kai Gould explained that his grandfather served as the inspiration for the invention, which sends notifications to family members when medication is taken.

“My granddad lives on a farm out west, in Toowoomba. About a year ago, he had a fall while working on the farm and was on the ground for two days. So, I thought, what could I build to help out my granddad?” he said.
