Western Australia’s fuel supplies remain comparatively stable amid the Iran conflict, according to Energy Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson.

She noted that WA’s one per cent rate for fuel outlet outages is significantly better than the national average of nearly four per cent.

However, concerns remain around the supply of crude.

Sanderson told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that Western Australia is well placed and vying for a refinery as the Commonwealth announced a feasibility study for fuel refining capability across Australia.

“The Commonwealth has announced a feasibility study for fuel refining capability across Australia. Western Australia is putting its best foot forward and advocating that we are one of those locations”, she said.
