Western Australia’s new watchdog: Inspector Tony Brown demands ‘high standard’ of conduct from local government
Local government inspector Tony Brown has refused to clarify whether City of Perth chief executive Michelle Reynolds was suspended, maintaining the city’s official line after the council was put on formal notice.

Brown told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont he had issued a clear warning.
“I want to see the council improve, otherwise we might need to take some further action”, he said.
He said he is focusing on “making sure local government across Western Australia are performing to a high standard”.
