A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the southeast of Western Australia, with heavy rainfall, storms and potential flash flooding expected to impact holidaymakers throughout the long weekend.

Speaking to 6PR Mornings with Russell Collett, senior meteorologist Christy Johnson noted that the most significant activity is currently centered around the Southeast Coastal, Eucla, and Goldfields districts.
