This prompted 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl to speak with Astha Tomar, President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, about ADHD and the necessary steps for diagnosis.

According to Ms. Tomar, “Those symptoms, when they start having an effect on how the child is able to function at home, at school, in their friend group, that’s where a need for a comprehensive assessment for an ADHD diagnosis or other neurodevelopmental disorders becomes really important.”
