A new survey reveals that teenage girls make up only 6% of users in public parks, playgrounds, and recreational areas.

Nature Play WA Chief Executive Kelsie Prabawa-Sear told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that the survey shows girls are being accidentally designed out of these spaces.

“We’re trying to work with designers and developers to say hey, there’s just a few other elements that you could include that would really open it up to a whole other cohort that haven’t been using these spaces,” she said.
