The Long Lunch host Tod Johnston spoke to Pan Wang, Associate Professor of Chinese and Asian Studies at UNSW, who explained the tradition and celebrations the public may see during new year celebrations of the Year of the Fire Horse.

“The New Year celebration is not only simply celebrating the beginning of a new year its also about generational interaction, its about caring, it’s about respect, it’s about family with union and social harmony,” she said.
