Youth mental health psychologist at Oceanic Wellbeing Chris Harris says he doesn’t believe parents were provided with enough resources to be adequately prepared.

“Young people have used this as a kind of self-regulatory mechanism … the people who say removing that we’re seeing this, you know, anger and violence, as a psychologist, that actually suggests that the social media use was probably unhelpful,” he told 6PR Perth Today.

“We’re now seeing an inability for kids to regulate themselves in usual situations,” he added.
