A hobby drone photographer captured a unique moment at Whitfords Beach as a pod of dolphins herded a tiger shark away from the shore.

Photographer Andrew Ward explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that he had been hoping to capture both species in a single shot but never expected the interaction that unfolded.

He added: “The sharks and dolphins get right in the shallows along there this time of the year,” he said.
