One of Australia’s largest companies, Wesfarmers, is shifting its focus to the health industry by acquiring InstantScripts and Priceline Pharmacy, prompting a caution from the AMA.

Kyle Hoath, President of AMA WA, told Perth Today host Simon Beaumont the priority must be customers’ health needs.

“The fact that we are in a bit of a stretched health system at the moment it’s sort of taking financial advantage of that opportunity which sits a little bit uncomfortable with me,” he said.
