The Margaret River community’s town Christmas Tree is facing significant criticism this year.

Julia Jean-Rice, President of the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River, appeared on 6PR Breakfast with Millsy and Karl to defend the display, explaining that the tree embodies the town’s unique character.
“We’re no like everywhere else , we’re Margs, its unique so embrace it,” she said.
