Berkeley River Lodge was decimated by heavy rains and gale-force winds after Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina smashed into the state’s north.

Co-owner Rachel Brommage told 6PR Breakfast host Millsy and Karl that three villas were beyond repair, with others still being assessed, adding that the lodge is uninsured.
“The premiums just became unsustainable, and at some point you have to balance the risk with viability,” she said.
