Brother Olly Pickett, Co-Founder of the organisation, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the charity has seen significant growth over the last 27 years, with 262 volunteers now producing 30 wheelchairs daily for children in need.

“They wanted something that was going to last a long time for the children from the age of 4 to about the age of 16 that they could use and all the other countries pulled out except us,” he said.

Wheelchairs for Kids is the only facility of its type in the world and relies on public generosity.
