Louise Rowe from RSPCA WA introduced Otto, a female dog currently seeking a foster placement.

Because the commitment can range from a single afternoon to multiple years, the foster program is highly favoured by FIFO workers and retirees.

Speaking to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont, Lou confirmed that the RSPCA covers all costs.

“This way you get the companionship of an animal but we pay for all food, all vet costs, we give you a bed, toys, whatever it is you may need. All we ask in return is that you commit to bringing the animal in for their checkups when they need it,” she said.
