In the early hours of Friday, Eddie the Octopus was stolen from the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour.

Greg James, the sculptor, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont his disappointment regarding the loss.

However, with security footage capturing the thieves, he remains optimistic that Eddie will be recovered.

“We live in this amazing place and isn’t it a shame that someone feels the need to just go and knock stuff off,” he said.
