Treasurer Jim Chalmers has announced a backdown on some proposed superannuation changes, confirming several concessions to the initial contentious tax proposal.

AMP Chief Economist Shane Oliver weighed in on these concessions on Perth Live with Oliver Peterson, stating, “It was also, I think, grossly unfair to tax unrealised gains, because this is money that people don’t actually have.”
