Nationals Leader David Littleproud has called a transition assistance package a “cruel hoax”.

“It’s a cruel hoax; the reality is the industry is already in decline because of the decision they made after the last election,” he said.

“This is not a government that cares about an industry or cares about its people; it’s treating the people of Western Australia with contempt”.

He’s also told Oliver Peterson he believes there will be an election before 2028.
