Western Australia Police has seized over 135 firearms from sovereign citizens as part of a five-day operation.

John Hammond from Hammond Legal told Simon Beaumont judges are growing increasingly frustrated by sovereign citizens.

“The [Police Chief] Commissioner has formed a view that sovereign citizens are not fit and proper people to hold firearms, and given what’s happened in the eastern states, he’s got every right in my opinion to be concerned,” he said.
