The City of Canning has quadrupled its penalty for damaging or removing a public tree, increasing the fine from $250 to $1000.

City of Canning mayor Patrick Hall spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said the City was sending a signal that a $250 fine “doesn’t cut the mustard”.
