West Coast Eagles great Glen ‘Jako’ Jakovich has issued a passionate call to arms, urging the WA footy public to throw its full support behind the 2026 AFL State of Origin.

Speaking with host Simon Beaumont on Perth Today, Jako dismissed a listener’s claim that Victorians are apathetic towards the contest, insisting the real threat lies with our arch-rivals across the Nullarbor.

“I can tell you know if we don’t support it, you know the South Australians have gather round you watch them rally and pinch it off us,” he said.”
