Perth’s sky was lit up last night by a fireball streaming across the night sky.

Matt Woods from Perth Observatory explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the object was actually a Starlink satellite re-entering the atmosphere.

‘These things are going around 8km per second,’ he said.
