South Perth ratepayers face whiplash after council fight over tree protection

Six trees planted along the South Perth foreshore will be ripped up despite a push to revoke the decision, but in the same breathe South Perth ratepayers can no longer prune more than 10 per cent of a tree on their property unless approved by council.
South Perth Tree Canopy Advocates spokesperson Bronwyn David spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson about the recent changes facing ratepayers and said the polarising decisions were “ironic”.
