Premier Roger Cook has announced a new $50 million fund for health infrastructure maintenance across WA hospitals and will also review and audit the current maintenance spending.

6PR Chief of News Jake Battrick, present at the press conference, informed Perth Live host Oliver Peterson that these funds are specifically earmarked for Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth, and Armadale Hospital over the current and next financial year.

“I can’t remember the last time the government actually caved to a bit of pressure and made an announcement following some great reporting in the media,” he said.
