A Perth council is reintroducing verge rubbish collections after scrapping them 11 years ago.

The City of Sterling will trial verge collections in some suburbs for two years, following complaints about the on-demand system introduced in 2014.

“I have the feeling that it will go some way to stop the illegal dumping issue that we have,” City of Stirling Councillor Michael Dudak told Perth Today.
