About 30 guests were evacuated from the Comfort Inn on Adelaide Terrace after a fire broke out on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea Bowden from the 6PR newsroom told 6PR Breakfast the fire was contained to a second floor room.

“The room was filled with smoke when the firefighters got here and … a person was still inside,” she said.
