The grim reality of WA hospital waiting times and shortages has been starkly revealed through a listener’s personal experience.

Anne-Marie shared with Perth Today host Simon Beaumont the massive discrepancy she encountered between the Department of Health website’s reported waiting time and the actual wait.

“The ambulance drivers basically were so lovely, but they advised her it would be better if she stayed at home because of the waiting times at all of the EDs,” she said.
