Facing a state-wide shortage of crossing wardens, the City of Canning is urgently seeking solutions.

Mayor Patrick Hall told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that he has put forward a proposal to utilise Police cadets to ensure children’s safe arrival at school.

He stated, “We don’t want to see more children knocked over on crossings, we don’t want to see people injured. We want to see wardens where they’re required, and we need to find innovative solutions.”
