A recent peer-reviewed study indicates a four-day work week enhances physical and mental health, reduces burnout, and boosts job satisfaction.

Dr Libby Sander, a Bond University associate professor, told Perth Live host Oliver Peterson that traditional productivity metrics are no longer effective in many industries, and fewer hours don’t necessarily mean less output.

“It’s a fantastic incentive to attract staff, to retain staff and also to reduce the huge cost around stress and burnout,” she said.
