Despite being notified over a month ago that metal studs on boots were illegal, Adelaide players Josh Rachele and Ben Keays continued to wear them. Rachele twice and Keays four times.

Speaking to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl, Brad Hardie raised concerns that the boots could cause injury and questioned whether the fines levied against the players and club were sufficient.

“Should it have been a suspension for being belligerent and ignorant?” he asked
