As news of Eileen Bond’s passing resonated throughout the community, friends gathered with Perth Today host Simon Beaumont to remember ‘Big Red.’

Peter Christie, President of South Fremantle FC, recounted her family’s century-long connection to the Bulldogs and her profound dedication to the club.

‘The thing about Red was her passion was so genuine,’ he said.

Eileen’s friend, Jane Wishaw, became emotional recalling her dear friend.

‘The name of Red could not have been more befitting because she was all the flames; she was the flame of life, exuberance. A bottle of champagne was never far away, a naughty joke or a fabulous story,’ she said
