Lake Monger has officially been renamed to Galup which is its Whadjuk Noongar name, following formal endorsement by the State’s Geographic Names Committee.

Town of Cambridge mayor Gary Mack spoke to 6PR Radio’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said during public consultation, over 90 per cent of people surveyed supported the name change.
