A high volume of odour complaints has been made from suburbs south of Perth.

The source is reportedly emanating from a piggery, a mushroom composting operation, and an organic recycling business.

Perth Today host Simon Beaumont spoke to Andy Gulliver, Director of C-Wise, about the issue.

Andy explained that the organic recycling precinct is about 30 years old and the other operation even older, suggesting it was a classic example of urban encroachment.

“We would love to engage with the department in a more open and collegiate manner to try and find a middle path to keep all the parties happy,” he said.
