A bare-knuckle boxing event is being considered following recent regulatory changes about the sport.

Sports Minister Rita Saffioti explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the Combat Sports Commissioner is doing its due diligence before deciding whether to sanction the event.

“They’re working through what safeguards and mechanisms can be put in place to make sure it can be done as safely as possible,” she said.
