Dysfunction within the City of Nedlands council walls has spread across the Swan River to the City of South Perth where its council also seems to be in total disarray.

South Perth councillor Mary Choi posted a video on social media during the 2023 mayoral elections about the current mayor Greg Milner, accusing him in the accompanying text of being a member of the “clan”.

Ms Choi suddenly resigned on Wednesday this week.

It comes after Nedlands councillor Hengameh Amiry and mayor Fiona Argyle shared a public war of words earlier this month during a live streamed council meeting over the City’s landscaping plan for Allen Park.
